The beers from Brasserie du Mont-Blanc share the following characteristics : |
Brewed using glacier water from Mont-Blanc, specifically from the source of the Enchapleuze at an altitude of 2074 metres. Its purity allows all the ingredients to come to the fore. Its low minerality makes it ideal water for brewing. |
Precise traditional technical procedures that only a few brewers truly master, such as double fermentation, synonymous with refinement, good length, natural bubbles and a smooth head.
An initial fermentation in tanks is followed by a second in bottles, using yeast that is specifically adapted to each of the beers.
This fermentation is similar to the method used for making champagne. |
Reduced alcohol content: both the Blonde and the Blanche beers are in line with development trends in beer consumption. They have alcohol contents of 5.8% and 4.7%, and the Verte and the Violette follow the same logic at 5.9% and 4.7%. |
A moderate bitterness, with the use of hops selected specifically for their aromatic qualities. |
Developed traditionally, with the same quality criteria, the different Mont-Blanc beers are products designed for totally different circumstances and methods of consumption. |
